That is why we conduct pre-operative consultations so you can meet the doctor before your scheduled surgery. These consultations allow Drs. Rekos & Border to thoroughly evaluate your surgical needs and develop a potential treatment plan. We will accommodate a patient who is in need of emergency care without a separate pre-surgical visit. Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) PLEASE NOTE: All patients under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit. Digital X-RaysIf your dentist or physician has taken x-rays, you may request that they be forwarded to our office. We may also be able to request them directly from your doctor prior to your appointment. Please let us know if you need this assistance. Waiting TimesEveryone in our practice works hard to stay on schedule to minimize your wait time. Because Drs. Rekos & Border provide surgical services, various factors may lengthen the time required for a procedure. Emergency cases can also arise and cause delays.
