 We will guide you through the insurance process.
Health and dental insurance providers help many of our patients offset the expense of dental and jaw procedures. We know dealing with insurance companies can be intimidating, and we're happy to help you obtain pre-approval and receive reimbursement for covered procedures.
Please provide us with your current insurance information and proof of coverage (insurance ID card) at your initial consultation appointment. These documents will provide essential information necessary for our office to file appropriate charges with your primary and secondary insurance carriers. If your insurance policy or carrier changes between visits, be sure to share your new information with us as soon as possible.

Pre-appointment Insurance Checklist
Please take time to review the following checklist, which will help you provide us all of the necessary information at your initial appointment.

If you have dental or medical insurance, determine whether or not Rekos & Border Oral Surgery is a participating provider with your insurance plan.

If Rekos & Border Oral Surgery is not part of your network, you may still have the option to use out-of-network benefits. The insurance carrier can provide you with coverage percentages for both in-network and out-of-network providers. As a courtesy, we will submit the initial claim to your insurance company for services we provide you, at your request.

Contacting your insurance carrier regarding your medical plan to determine what, if any, coverage your plan may have for the removal of wisdom teeth. Some medical insurance companies cover impacted wisdom teeth (complete bony/partial bony). The coverage is dependent upon the contract the employer group has established with the insurance carrier.

You will be responsible for all charges your insurance company does not cover due to unpaid deductibles, coinsurance or non-covered services. |
Written Estimates
At your initial consultation appointment, we will provide you with a written estimate for the services you plan to have performed. This will allow us to discuss the deposit required for your type of procedure.
